Introduction of an interactive and user-friendly tool for visualizing strategy and planning within the Digital Twin Munich.

The CGI DigitalRadar is a SharpCloud-based web application that visualizes complex data and enables users to easily understand information and its relationships. Companies and organizations often use SharpCloud for project management, strategic planning and risk management. In the Digital Twin Munich project, the Digitalradar was used to present use cases and their systematic connections to action needs, requirements, strategic programs, involved people and partners, required data and many more. The correlations are presented graphically, and actions are prioritized to improve implementation and monitoring.

Contribution to the digitalization of municipal transport systems

By using it, projects to improve municipal transport systems can be planned and managed more clearly. The platform helps to visualize the need for action and priorities. The software can also be used to identify and minimize risks. In a large city like Munich, with many departments interested in the digitalization of the city's transport systems, a wide range of ideas and measures quickly accumulate. These are clearly presented in the tool along with their relationships to strategic goals, involved departments and partners, applications, and data.

 

Contribution to air pollution control / clean air in the City of Munich

The Digitalradar establishes the connections between the Digital Twin Munich and the immediate action program for clean air as well as the goals of the integrated action program for a climate-neutral Munich. From the strategic context to operational implementation, the platform also helps to make the necessary data structures and simulation applications for air pollution control more transparent. By using the tool, decision-makers can better evaluate the impact of their decisions and thus contribute to improving air quality.

Perspective of the action

The Digitalradar also had numerous possible applications outside of the Digital Twin Munich funding project within the City of Munich. For example, it was used to create a transparent overview of Munich's smart city projects. In the future, the team will explore alternative solutions to develop ideas, requirements, and additional use cases and present them in the context of the further development of the Digital Twin Munich or other strategic programs.

The Digital Twin Munich uses panoramic images and inventories to support the city administration.

The construction sites map can be viewed on the Geoportal. With the help of icons, the map provides an overview of current and planned construction sites and no-stopping zones in Munich that will cause restrictions on driving, walking and parking over the next two to six weeks.
